Conference Center Project Resurfaces

Local officals in Elizabeth City have regained potential talks of the idea of a riverfront hotel and conference center near the waterfront. Those involved have stressed the notion that the project is strictly in the introductory stages. Virginia based developer Paul Galloway has drawn the preliminary sketches of an Elizabeth City hotel-conference center. The plan would consist of a 120-room hotel and 7,200 square-foot conference center, along with a 22,000 square-foot office retail building with a 3,000 square-foot marine store and a 52-slip marina complex. All of this totaling up to nearly $23.2 million in funds needed to finance this project.
