AEDC Web site adds office, industrial listings

As promised in the last edition of e-News, the Albemarle Economic Development Commission has added a listing of vacant industrial buildings to the AEDC Web site, along with a listing of available office space. Like the Businesses for Sale listings and the Downtown for Rent and Downtown for Sale listings, the newly added industrial and office listings will be available at no charge to owners and brokers.
"More than 85% of North Carolina Department of Commerce inquiries involve companies looking for vacant existing buildings," AEDC Director Wayne Harris said. "Some local vacant industrial buildings and offices make it onto the AEDC site via our arrangement with the national online service LoopNet - but some don't. We would rather have a duplicate a listing or two than miss out on an opportunity to attract new business to the area by not having all the available buildings on the AEDC site. The AEDC site is now a one-stop shop for anyone interested buying a business or in downtown, industrial or office space in Pasquotank or Camden County."
Headlining the new sections are spaces in the Allstate Lumber complex on Hughes Boulevard, flex space at Interpath, an 8,000 square-foot spec building in Pasquotank Commerce Park [here], and office space in the Weatherly Center in City Center West [here].
